While the first taste of beer for most Americans is a mass-market, mass-produced lager (think Bud, Miller or Coors), the world of beers available today encompasses a range of styles and flavors that I believe far surpasses that of any other beverage.  With over 1,400 breweries operating in just the US alone today, not to mention thousands more around the world, 365 beers will cover only small fraction of the market, yet is more than what most people will ever try in a lifetime.
